Overcoming Feeling Paralyzed
Mindfully Overwhelmed
You are practicing being mindful of creating positive thoughts and energy around you. You are excited and energized by the creative intentions you set out to do. You are motivated, ready and anxious to take the next step. Suddenly, almost instantaneously, you are flooded with the thought of ALL of those steps you feel must be taken to move closer toward your end game. You notice your breathing becoming heavier, your body temperature starts to change. You may begin to feel paralyzed, like you are in quicksand wanting to move but not sure how or where to take that next step! Doubt starts to creep in. Visual Clarity Congratulations ~ this is normal and you are closer now than you think of taking those steps because you are aware of these thoughts and feelings starting to settle in. Take those thoughts and visualize putting them into a bag - visualize taking hold of them, capturing them and then see yourself setting them free over a mountain or a body of water. Take in a deep breath, hold it for a moment and slowly let your breath out while you envision yourself walking forward and know that the steps needing to be taken only start with one. Your responsibility is only to put one foot in front of the other, to accomplish one task at a time. Be aware of your own development - you began crawling before you could walk and you began walking before you ran - reward yourself for taking one step at a time, not a jump, but a step. Each step will bring you closer to your end game. I share with you a reminder taken from one of Mike Dooley's Notes from the Universe: "So much more awaits you. There'll come a day when you look back at where you've been and where you are now and call these your "warm up years"". Go and be AMAZING!!
